About the Book

A Guided Picture Book for Managing Meltdowns and Challenging Behaviour.

Relationships with kids are dynamic. There are times of calm, joy, and beauty, and then there are times…when they throw their tablet at the wall!

Are you living in parenting turmoil? Are you struggling to understand how you got there? Climbing Crisis Mountain: A Guided Picture Book for Managing Meltdowns and Challenging Behaviour is a digestible, illustrated, step-by-step guide for parents who are struggling to manage meltdowns. It summarizes years of neuroscience and behavioural psychology into an accessible and easy-to-use guide. Colour-coded for ease of reading, the book offers in-the-moment thoughts, language, and behaviours to support your child...starting today!

The strategies in this book are universally applicable and can help any parent, caregiver, or educator with what to think, say, and do when things get tough for kids. By giving kids the tools they need to express when they’re in crisis, you will learn how to guide your child back down the mountain to a peaceful state—even when the tablet hits the fan.
